It's the little things... I'm glad that my new personalised stamp has arrived!
Since having my details available on the online translator databases for the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK, the amount of work I've been receiving from direct clients for certified translations has increased considerably, more than justifying the need to add that extra personal touch and have my own stamp.
The last time I had a stamp (well, stamps) was when I was NAATI-accredited for translations from Macedonian, Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian and Bulgarian into English, where I would have a steady flow of work from the communities that speak these languages in Perth, Australia, primarily to translate documents and certificates for Australian immigration and citizenship purposes.
I did make sure that the stamp is round though... ⭕
Some European countries have a thing for round stamps, so much so that stories abound of people having had applications rejected just because there was no round stamp. So I decided it's best to avoid any possible obstacles and pander to this round stamp fetish.
