"Did you know? In Australia you need to press the Stop button when you want to get off the bus." 🚌
Useful or extremely obvious?
This was the advice given recently from a social media profile focusing on Australian life tips for overseas students.
You can check out the clip here.
The clip went viral! 🔥
And hundreds of people worldwide just had to comment with what they thought of this advice:
"No really? In my country it’s the opposite the bus only moves if everyone is holding the go button"
"In Australia the ground is made of soil btw"
"In Australia you need to breathe air in order to live"
"In Australia you press the button to get off??????? What? That happens everywhere."
But a handful of people also said that this was not always the case everywhere. For instance, buses in many countries don't have buttons to summon the driver to stop – you have to yell out or go up to the driver and tell them to stop, while in others buses stop at every stop regardless if there are passengers wanting to get on and/or off.
So what might seem extremely obvious to some people might not be the case for everyone. Don't assume or judge. Nor should you expect that something that happens in your country happens everywhere else. Every place has its quirks.
